Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel is a Spreadsheet Software program created by Microsoft. It can store huge amounts of data in tables and you can use formulae, colour coding, graphs and many other things to analyse the data, see trends and perform calculations. With a bit of practice you can Excel in Data Management!

There are several versions of Excel- the web-based version, the iPad version and the PC Excel Program.

-You can open the web-based version of Excel by signing into office.com with your office account (if you are at school this is simply your school email address and password).

-You can install the office365 apps on your iPad and sign in with your office account.

However, the Web-Based and iPad versions do not have all the functionality of the Excel Program. You can download and install the Excel program onto your computer by signing into office.com, clicking on Install Apps and following the instructions.

These projects will use the Excel Program- make sure you have it installed on the computer you are using.

The Excel projects are completed in booklets- beautiful A3 colour booklets. The exercises have QR codes that take you to YouTube solutions videos if you get stuck.

For some questions there are printouts to glue into the booklet. The aim is to fill the booklet like a Pokemon Collectors Book- Gotta Catch 'Em All!

You could do the whole course digitally- putting the PDF into an Annotation Software app -like Notability on the iPad- and adding screenshots or photos of your completed code at at the appropriate stages.
